In November 2017 CNWL embarked on a Quality Improvement (QI) journey to improve the experience of care for the people it serves, their carers and families.
The aim of our QI programme is to encourage a culture of continuous improvement and make sure we focus on listening and learning.
Frontline staff, along with the people who use our services, and their carers are the experts and best placed to be able to identify, test and drive what changes need to be made to improve quality. As such much of the CNWL QI programme will focus on giving staff, patients and carers the skills, knowledge and freedom to bring about improvement. It is about working differently, not harder.
We have partnered with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) to help us with this piece of work. The IHI have a long and successful track record in supporting improvement projects both nationally and internationally.
